Hi!
I’m Callum, but you can call me Cal.

I’m a hobbyist/aspiring photographer currently residing in Hobart, Tasmania. I have compiled this portfolio to share a selection of my favourite images, to develop a storyboard of my photography journey and to hopefully support a cause very close to my heart.

My enjoyment for photography arose during my employment with the Tasmanian Menswear institution, Routley’s, where I coordinated the business’s social media and marketing activities in an effort to better align the quality of content with the quality of the service and products Routley’s provides.  Due to nature of the industry, wedding outfitting was a core component of the business and I would often find myself appreciating the work of local wedding photographers and amazed by the quality and creativity of their photographs. After a short lesson with a good friend during a weekend away on Tasmania’s East Coast, I was hooked and fiddling with my Dad’s old Nikon D100 SLR and trying to make sense of it all.

Fast forward to 2021 and I’m looking to take the hobby a little more seriously and therefore looking for more photo opportunities! To clarify, I don’t see myself as a competent or professional photographer by any means, and as such I’m not seeking compensation for my work.

If you enjoy the images I produce for you, all that I ask is that a donation is made to the Menzie’s Institute for Medical Research Parkinson’s Disease Appeal to the value of your choosing.

Thanks for reading!

Cal.
